In addition to regular gym and mindfulness practice, I recently started yoga classes. My whole family is into it, same applies to my best friend. Since I deal with a lot of stressful situation in my professional life, I decided to add it to my body-mind wellness routine. Yoga is an excellent way to relax your body, tone the muscles and calm the nerves. Funny enough, my yoga practice seems to make my parrot a bit agitated. It is either a sign of a deep criticism of my moves or just anxiety caused by a new activity (I hope for the second) 🙂 I guess she is scared of my yoga mat. Many parrots suffer from neophobia; mine is definitely in that group. I can recall many examples when she freaked out after seeing a new fluffy scarf or my newly purchased Alexa device. Funny animals.
In the meantime, I am writing an invited paper for one of the top 10 out of 255 journals in the Pharmacy and Pharmacology category of ISI. I am very excited about it, but that article will take some efforts as the drug development topic I will write about, is rather uneasy (but very interesting).
Enjoy your summer; I will be back with more pharma related posts in September.
